Today, while studying for my CBAP, I am reminded of studying for my GMAT or ACT, which isn’t exactly fun for me. There is a lot of information to remember, but what I am finding is that the easiest way for me to keep all of the information in my head is to relate said information to my work. And by work I mean my work as a consultant at J Geiger Consulting or even working on activities around the house. Understanding what the layout of the pantry needs to be has been a huge exercise in brainstorming and collaboration as my husband and I have different ideas on requirements. When we thought we had some design options, one of the RADD tasks (Part 5 – Business Analysis Body of Knowledge Blog Series), we started demo. If you have ever done demo on a 70-year-old house, you quickly uncover new considerations and realize the need to change some of the requirements or design based on what you find during that “discovery” phase. We found several items we had to work around to ensure the pantry would achieve the functionality we wanted.
